Man is born good, but is influenced by evil people. such as Lady Macbeth almost forced me to kill Duncan, if Lady Macbeth never said anything about killing him, i never would have.

    1. Macbeth,
I think you are deceiving yourself. You know that you wanted to be king no matter what Lady Macbeth did or said!

  3. dan/macbeth: man isnt born good or evil, we move into alignment as we live. as creatures of freewill we make the choice that labels us good or evil. i myself am looked at as evil for my actions but lets not forget the happenings of the murder of Duncan i was a hard working man on his way up the ladder.

    1. Macbeth,
So you were working your way up the ladder, ambitious to become king. Does that give you the right to murder innocent people?

    1. Okay Macduff- so what kind of environment did you grow up in that gives you the right to avenge your families death by murdering Macbeth? Wouldn't it have felt as justified if you imprisoned him for the rest of his life?

  5. We are all born evil. No hands can be washed clean, not even mine. We all want better in life even if we do hurt people along the way.

    1. Lady Macbeth,
Are you saying that you felt justified in killing Duncan because it was going to help you have a better life? Ha! Can you really think this way?

  6. Kristina as Macbeth. Man is born good. Evil is brought upon someone for a certain reason. In this case Lady Macbeth influenced Macbeth to kill Duncan.

    1. Macbeth,
So are you saying that the evil that was brought upon you was only because of Lady Macbeth? Are you implying that you had nothing to do with becoming the evil tyrant that you are?

  7. (Haley)Lady Macbeth- I think that everyone is born good or evil, but they choose if they want to be good or evil. Like me, I chose to be evil. I manipulated Macbeth into killing Duncan. I put on an act of niceness so no one would suspect anything. It potentially hurt me in the end. ^.-

I am so glad to see that you can admit to your mistakes. If you had to do it all over again, what would you do differently?

    1. Malcolm,
You are giving a perfect example of what Macbeth did when he hired the murderers to kill Banquo. Are you condoning that act? Those men were good, but Macbeth convinced them that Banquo was bad and they should kill him for money. What about you? Do you consider yourself to be born good or born evil?

  10. Is man born good or evil? Man isn't born evil. Everyone is a product of their environment. In Macbeth's case... he is pure evil. The Murder of my family wasn't taken lightly. Macbeth at first was a good and hardy soldier but after coming across the prophecy from the witches his mind was poisoned and Macbeth wasn't Macbeth any more. Like i said everyone is a product of their environment, its our environment that molds us to be who we are today.

  11. Jess(as Lady Macbeth). Man isn't born good or evil. Man is born of what they want to be. Macbeth, for example, was born evil. He doesn't listen to me, therefore, he is born an evil, evil man. I was born a good women. Macbeth caused me to turn evil. He didn't want to kill Duncan which set me off. Since he didn't want to kill Duncan, I thought I was going to have to do it. In reality, you are born of who you want to be. You are not born of good or evil, just of who you make yourself to be.

  12. shayla(as lady Macbeth) Is man born good or evil? No, i believe that man is not born good or evil. Everyone is a product of their enviorment. I believe you make yourself who you want to be, good or evil. For example macbeth turned himself evil when he decided to kill Duncan so he could become king. Many people blame me for that and say i am evil because i told him he had to. I just wanted what was good for him. He was the one who actually killed him not me. I just wanted to help him so he didn't get cuaght or cause any other problems and wanted him to get the power he desired and deserves. I was being good not evil, i was just helping my husband get something he wanted. If he didn't kill him i would of had to and i knew i couldn't because i am to good of a person to and knew i could manipulate Macbeth. so like i said people make themselves good or evil like macbeth turned evil after he killed Duncan and started killing other innocent people. - Lady Macbeth

  15. This question is so broad, it can be expanded to many different topics. with this question, i look back on my old friend Macbeth. His soul and heart, in my mind, wasn't always what it was, not always evil. We were friends for the longest time until he turned. The predictions that came to him and influences from his wife and others not really scared him, but pushed him to do what he did. If i Were still alive right now i believe, if i had a chance to, i could turn him back to the way he was. Especially with his wife out of the way. i guess my answer to this question is, your not born good or evil. your born with nothing and the way you grow up, with the people, influences, places, and more change you to what you are. nothing is set in stone in life... not completely.

  16. I believe that everyone is born good. But with our own choices and where we live, we become evil. Like me for instance, I was born a sweet little girl, but that was boring. So, I became into an evil person, because that's more fun. It proves that I am smarter than most people, because I can come up with the best kind of plots and schemes. My husband, he was born good too, and he obviously wasn't evil at first, because when I was telling him to kill Duncan, he was being a chicken about it. I mean seriously? It's just a murder, no big deal. But after he killed Duncan, I considered him evil, because he began coming up with his own devicious plans. My wit and evilness rubbed off on him. Now King Duncan, he was born good, and he died good. Where did being good get him in life? Well, he was king, but whatever. But it also got him in a hole, in his grave because he was too good to realize my husband and me's evilness. Therefore, no, people are not born good or evil. Everyone's born good, but then the smart ones become evil because of the environment in which we live.

  17. As I look thee, man is born with a clean slate. The influence of man writes on thee slates and which determines who we will become. I, Banqou, have been the out come of a slate written with evil. Macbeth was not a evil man his whole life. He was caring and respected life, but some things just stopped him from living a normal life. Man is born good. Our surroundungs though, bring the evil into our soul.

  18. I believe that most everyone is born neutral, with some exceptions to the mentally insane. If a person is evil, it's not because they were born that way; they were a product of their environment. As for myself, I am not evil. I, former Thane of Cawdor, believed and still believe in Norway's ideals. Betraying Scotland may be seen as an act of evil by King Duncan and the rest of Scotland, but to Norway I am a hero. As for people being born good or evil, I just believe that the things that happen to you early on in your life will affect you greatly.

  19. I believe that people are products of their environment. They are just born neutral, and they are made out of their surroundings. Take me for example. i was born as a son of a great nobleman, and I was crafted by my environment into the great warrior I am today. I will fight for my country of Scotland, and I protect all of my close friends. I do what's best for my country, and I have never regretted anything. Even right now, my wife has just committed suicide, but who cares? I will not die by anyone who is women-born.

  20. Macbeth - Tristan Leek I believe man is completely a result of the environment in which they live. I was a completely normal Thane until I was corrupted by those insane witches and my nagging wife. They got me thinking about how I could become King so easily if I would just murder Duncan. Even knowing how easy it would be I still wasn't going to do it though until my wife Lady Macbeth nagged and nagged about how I wasn't a man since I didn't feel right about killing Duncan. Even I gave in and ended up murdering him anyway. Because of this personal experience I am sure that man is neither good nor evil and is molded to become who they are by their environment.

  23. we are all born evil, you cant just wash it away. you have to work hard to be good and let the evil fade away. i also believe that where you live reflects off of what type of person you will be, if you live in a scary ghetto town then you will robably be more evil then the rest of us, if you live in the town you will be less evil. -as lady macbeth-

I believe that all men are born nuetral but areaffected by the enviroment they are raised in. I was a loyal servant to the king before I met the witches and was convinced by my wife to kill the good king Duncan. From there I just got worse and continued to kill.

  38. In my strongest opinion, I believe that man is born good and innocent, and that society is the cause to evil. Nature is also an influence on evil because my surroundings is nature, and that caused me to turn evil. I used to nuture my loved ones, but then i realized power was more important to me than taking care of others. I know that am an evil woman, but I would not be the devilious woman I am today if it werent for society changing me. For instance, I turned completely evil when I was informed of the Witches' prophecies. When I heard my husband Macbeth was going to be king in the future, I made sure it would happen by planning Duncan's murder. I was power hungry and took my ambition too far. I am partly responsible for the murder, even though I did not do it myself. Babies are born innocent and good, but as they grow they are affected by the people around them, making them either good or evil. I, myself am an evil woman. I will not deny this because I know it is true. But I do know that when I was younger I was not evil. I was a very good and innocent girl who was afraid of a lot but never took actions to protect myself. However, things changed as I grew older and wanted more out of life. I thought the only way to be happy was to be in charge of everyone. This meant that I needed to be queen and my husband king. Once I heard about the prophecies, I knew that if it was ever going to happen, I would need to take action and do it myself. So that is exactly what Idid. Society caused me to help with Duncan's murder causing me to turn evil. This proves that man is born innocent and good, but can change to evil when influenced by society.

    Sincerely,

    LADY MACBETH

  39. Is man born good or evil or are we all products of our environment? Hmm, that’s a tough one. I guess if I had to I’d choose…. I’d say that we are all born good BUT, we are also products of our environment. I believe that when humans are born we are pure and clean- we are untarnished. But after a while of seeing all the evil that goes on around you in the environment, it starts to rub off. It’s sort of like a new pair of socks. When you first take them out of the package, they are bright white and pristine. After you wear them for a bit, you don’t even notice it but they have turned a dull brown color. Sort of like what happened to me. I didn’t even realize that my ambition had gotten so out of hand. I became power hungry and persuaded Macbeth to King Duncan. As soon as I realized how I really felt about it, my socks were already brown and there was nothing I could do to change it. I started out with good intentions, simply wanting to be king and queen. You see, I was good until the world changed who I was and who I wanted to be.

    Sincerely,
    Lady Macbeth

  40. People can be born evil. Look at Macbeth, he was always evil he just didn't show it until he had the chance to do something really evil. Everybody thought he was a loyal war hero but the first chance he got he murdered his friends and went crazy. He was born evil, but some people are born neutral and decide whether to be good or evil

  41. Is a man born good or evil. I look at this like saying, is an apple picked bruised. Was the apple bruised as a seed or did it grow and make a mistake to get that bruise? I think every man is born pure and good. Depending on how they're raised and their environments, they may stay good or become evil. I believe we are products of our environments. As the a witch, i was raised in an environment of witches, so that's why i am a witch. If i was raised in a Kings family, i would be King. If i was raised as a garden gnome, i would be a garden gnome. You become what you are because of your influences.

  42. I think a man is a product of his own environment. Take for example a baby I would (without any problem) kill, what have they done? Nothing, they were born good, whereas I chose evil resulting in the babies death. I want power, I will do whatever it takes to get there, manipulate people, kill, anything. Label me as evil? That's fine I'm a product of my own environment. Look at my husband Macbeth, I manipulated him into killing Duncan. He almost chose to be good, but I turned him evil. Macbeth is a product of my environment as well, I rule this place.

  43. Man is definitely a product of his environment. Take me, Macbeth, as an example. I was always well liked by everyone and was a decorated war hero. But when I gave in to the pressure of the supernatural and my wife, my life spiraled downwards. I was drove into madness and a life of evil because of the environment I put myself in. I was a product of my environment.

  44. A man is born good, what he sees and how he is brought up is what makes him good or evil. In the paly Macbeth we meet him as a decent loyal man, and as the story goes on we see Macbeth change with time as the witches and his own wife convince him to do evil deeds. By the end of the play Macbeths' original character is completley corrupt. So in my oppinion, all men are born good and and change according to the life-style they live.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Man is born not evil or good. I, for example, ain't good nor bad. Drinking ain't no sin. I do my job and go 'bout my business. Yeah, I complain but that don't make me evil. Everyone complains now and then.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Man is not born evil. But man is also not born good either. You do what you have to do to get where you want to go. If doing something bad is what is bad for you and your family, then you must do it. If it means that you have turned evil, then so be it. If doing something good is what is best, then you may be labeled as good. You must do things for yourself that you may not want to do, and as long as no one else knows of the evil you have become, and you are still good in their eyes, then you are still a good person. Which also means we are products of our invirnment, we do what we must do in the time period it must be done. But straight from the beginning, no man is born evil or good
